How to Sell/Donate or Repurpose Your Wedding Dress.
It's wedding season, so it's time for me to ask, where is YOUR wedding dress right now? My guess is probably lurking somewhere in your home right now, taking up a ton of space.
Maybe it's hanging in the back of your closet, lonely and forgotten. Maybe it's sealed in a preservation box, waiting for a daughter or granddaughter who, let's be real, probably has her own vision for her big day. So ask yourself honestly, why are you still holding on to it?
I’m thinking, it's time to set that gown free! Here are some wonderful options, whether you want a beautiful keepsake, some cash, or the warm glow of doing something truly meaningful.
REPURPOSE IT INTO SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL
Emma & Evan Foundation — Donate your gown and order a custom keepsake made from your own dress fabric, like an ornament, locket, teddy bear, shadow box, or pillow. Keepsakes are created through their partner, Old Soul Bridal. Proceeds support families who experience infant loss. They accept dresses of any age, size, or color.
Unbox the Dress — Have your dress transformed into one of 30+ beautiful heirloom designs, including a robe, nightgown, Christmas tree skirt, men's tie, baby items, jewelry roll, and more. A design quiz on their site helps you figure out what's possible with your specific gown.
